We’ve just cut the ribbon on our new digital shop and everyone’s invited!

SUPERSWEET has developed into a full-fledged digital shop, housing all our luxury off-beat brands under a stylish new roof, dedicated to a quicker, cleaner shopping experience at supersweetshop.com

It’s a zoo out there. That’s why we’ve focused on stylish simplicity – brands are easily browsed, viewed, sorted and bought, with customers invited to create personalised shopping accounts with options for Buying or Wish-listing. Shopaholics can enjoy discounts through our ‘Shopaholic Card’ loyalty scheme with ascending Deer, Rhino and Pony tiers. Fill up your digital shopping bags, create a complimenting wardrobe or simply buy a one off collectible – it’s up to you! We’re also open to feedback, so you can send us letters, cakes and photos via our Monkey Postman.

Since 2007, it’s been our mission to source the best ready-to-wear brands from around the world, stocking far afield as Hong Kong, (Yang Du), New York (threeASFOUR), Finland (IVANAhelsinki) and homegrown Sophie Hulme. Now in 2009, we’ve acquired a stock list of exclusive alternative brands, including Opening Ceremony, SteveJ & YoniP, Alexandre Herchcovitch and Spijkers en Spijkers.

Not forgetting our editorial paramours, we’ve dedicated a section of the website to our new magazine ZOO – an editorial jungle featuring all the best in fashion, art and music, kind of like we always did, except this time all rolled into one!

LalaLove & The Face: A T-shirt Tribute | WIN ONE!

It’s been 6 years since 80s/90s style bible The Face folded, but its pop-culture legend lives on, echoing down through the minds of lemon-haired Donovan agitators until today.

Reviving its Y2K Fashion Special Edition cover, is this T-shirt by LalaLove hot off the press in 100% cotton worth an easy £22. The original came in a vacuum-sealed bag with 5 pin badges inside and the slogan SPUNK scrawled unbecomingly across it.

Founded 30 years ago, Wildlife Aid is now one of the largest wildlife rehabilitation centers in the UK. Dealing with more than 20,000 wildlife incidents a year – ranging from road traffic accidents to cases of deliberate cruelty –  the charity has developed an unrivalled expertise in all aspects of wildlife care and protection. The charity’s centre in Randalls Road, Leatherhead, is open 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Its aim is to treat, rehabilitate and then return its patients to the wild. At SUPERSWEET we’re tearing our hair out with excitement! KASMS shriek-beat vocalist Rachel Mary Callaghan has been posing for our first ever SUPERSWEET SHOP LOOKBOOK. The singer-turned-model has posed in up to 50 different outfits including off-beat luxury brands Opening Ceremony, Spijkers en Spijkers, Noble Youth and Yoko Ono’s debut collection through threeASFOUR.

Production is nearly finished – soon we’ll be sending out the lookbook in a fold-out poster format to pin up on your wall, as well as an exciting animated lookbook in digital format!

Rachel Mary Callaghan is no stranger to the fashion arena having first appeared in SUPERSWEET Digital’s exclusive fashion video feature Fears, enlisting original audio input from Alison Mosshart (The Kills, The Dead Weather).

Mesmerising press with her screeching dare-devil attitude on stage “Rachel Mary Callaghan is no ice maiden, preferring to hurl herself to the floor in the midst of a rag-doll dance” (The Guardian). The petit shriekette epitomises SUPERSWEET’s playful fraying of the music and fashion divide. A long-term SS customer, Rachel’s flexibility through eighties bleached-glamour to cinched-gothwear means she always returns to the SUPERSWEET Shop for her varied designer fix. “I just love SUPERSWEET!” she winks.

Wedge Booties, ankle-boots, snow-boots and elevated Mary-Janes with sewn-in socks are designed to survive the harshest of urban winter hinterlands. Durable water-resistant flats offer practical comfort for marathon performers while platforms elevate and elongate, keeping legs warmly encased in knee-high ribbed socks!
